We leap forward to 1994, and John's take on true crime films Serial Mom starring Kathleen Turner, Sam Waterston, Ricki Lake, & Matthew Lillard. We both agree that the film is light and silly, and has a stellar performance from its lead actress.
For the first episode of Flamingos Forever, Ophilia and Cooper watch John Waters' second film Multiple Maniacs at Chicago's Music Box Theater. This version of the film was given a full digital restoration, and is as good as it's ever likely to look (or has any right to). We talk about the religious content, whether or not the film is particularly shocking, or particularly good for that matter. Both of us agree, Mink Stole is the mvp of this film, unless one includes Lobstora, then Lobstora is the best thing ever.
