This week we're talking about lots of stuff including Sophie's upcoming appearance at the Guelph Sexuality Conference, sex on the internet, and plenty more. Plus, we have a fantastic guest with Kate Sloan of Girly Juice who was an absolute delight to chat with.

Kate Sloan is a Canadian sex blogger, sex toy reviewer and freelance journalist in her mid-twenties.

Her mission is to infuse discussions of sexuality with whimsy, positivity and joy, because sex is fun and she enjoys celebrating that. In addition to sexuality, Kate also loves to write about fashion, beauty, self-improvement and mental health, because she believes that sex is holistic – it informs, and is informed by, so many other parts of our lives.

On this episode Kate shares a hilarious tale of a sex toy review gone wrong and we also chat about life as a sex blogger, the value of pseudonyms, and plenty of other lively sexy stuff you are sure to enjoy!

You can find her on Twitter as @girlyjuice and on her fantastic site girlyjuice.net.

For our very special second anniversary live show at the Gladstone in February, we decided to try something different. After podcasting for a year-ish (with some obvious breaks in between) we wanted to unite our podcasting and live event worlds and did so by (consensually) recording the stories told at our very special anniversary show.

While we usually have a theme for our live events, this month we let storytellers share sexy tales on any topic. As we had so many great tales and so much funny input from our judges, Tynan Rhea and Bethany Daniels, we've had to split this great live episode into two parts. We hope you enjoy our final portion of this event, part 3!

We also chatted this episode about our recent adventures in planning a porn conference and gala, SMUT in the 6ix. You'll hear all about what goes into planning a mini porn conference and can learn all about it at www.smutinthe6ix.com.

In related news: We are currently looking for a new home for our live events as our time at the Gladstone has come to a close. We are still taking a brief breakbut hope to return as soon as possible for more live sexy storytelling!

Happy Podcastaversary! Tell Me Something Good has been coming to you for a full year, and it's been a live monthly event in Toronto for 2 years. Despite a major hiccup (stroke, actually) and a few months of intermittent episodes, we're so proud of this year's output. We celebrate our anniversary and move along to an interview with Strap-On Jo.

Strap-On Jo is an anal sex educator who tells a story of paying a sex worker as someone with sex work experience. After that, we discuss the ins and outs (pun very much intended) of pegging and anal play, which is very much Strap-On Jo's forte. By the end of this interview, you'll be curious.

Hey gang! It looks like we're getting back to a regular schedule maybe? We're aiming for every two weeks on Fridays and are starting our return with an interview we recorded many months ago at CatalystCon in Virginia in March of 2015.

This episode features an interview and story with Dylan Thomas, who just so happens to be our Swingset.FM buddy / pal / tech guy / helper dude, and we apologize to him for holding onto it for so long! We also blah blah blah for a long while about our latest projects, health stuff, and maybe not so good life things, because we like to mix in the good with the ... well, realistic? Anyway, back to our guest!

Dylan Thomas is a sex-positive non-monogamous proselytizer from the suburban wastelands of Chicago. Dylan believes that there’s a larger non-normative sexuality community that all wants the same things; the freedom to be who they are, love who they want, and the choice to keep their sexual preferences as private or as public as they choose. Dylan sees the need for a more open discussion about why we, no matter where we exist on the identity, sexuality, or lifestyle spectrum, all have much more in common than we realize and that we’re all natural allies of each other.

Find Dylan on Twitter @DylanTheThomas or all over the Swingset network.

In this special episode we sit down to talk about the recent abuse allegations against (retired?) porn star, James Deen. We share our personal reactions to the news and discuss how it has been handled both in mainstream and social media. We talk about what happens when we label someone a feminist because we want them to fit our own fantasy's narrative and how we can take that power back. We also talk about the porn industry and how challenging things can be for sex workers who find themselves in abusive situations.

Outside of speaking up for sex workers and women who so often are not believed when they go public with their stories of rape and sexual assault, we're not trying to solve anything with this discussion. We did, however, feel the need to have it and will continue to interrupt our standard format occasionally whenever important news items like this occur.

Aaaaaaand we're back! It's been a long and busy break, but we're back to our regularly scheduled programming here on the Tell Me Something Good Podcast. While we had a brief interlude to explain just what was going on during our uneventful absence, we've been more or less out of the game for half a year. We missed you all and we're finally feeling ready to get back to spreading sexy stories again.

To celebrate our relaunch, we had a live recording at Samantha's own Playground Conference. We set up in a suite (all the conference rooms were booked up with fabulous talks, panels and workshops) and got into bed to record with renewed vigour. Sophie shares some updates on her recovery, some new sexual exploits and some BIG NEWS. Samantha shares her desires for some post-conference sex, which is also very valuable.

Sex educator, podcaster and cannasexual Ashley Manta joined us in bed (no, not like that) to discuss her podcast Carnalcopia, her amazing work around cannabis and sexuality and then a story involving a hot
cop and why it's always important to carry lube with you. We laugh, we learn and we all revel in our love of a man in uniform.

It’s been a long time, dear listeners. We’re not sure how often we’ll be coming back, but for now we bring you an explanation for our absence. At the end of May, Sophie suffered a series of strokes. She has been recovering ever since and this episode is a very personal, deep look at what [...]

Daddy issues! Always an interesting topic for the two of us, this week we chat about how fluid sexuality can be when it comes to kink needs, and how Sophie in particular is finding herself leaning towards a direction she’s not used to. We work through some things together but it’s all still a wonderful work in [...]

May 12, 2015

This week we first chat for a while about how it seems to be the season of exes right now and share a few embarrassing and emotional tales from our past. Because what’s a little podcasting conversation without some trips down memory lane? Then it’s time to sit down with our Swingset.FM sister, Miko Technogeisha [...]

May 5, 2015

Before we get to our guest’s storytelling portion of the episode we wax poetic for a while about our sex lives, including our thoughts on “maintenance sex” and how we both feel a little lonely with our partners being away, though Sophie is definitely suffering a little more than Samantha. Then it’s time to get [...]

Apr 28, 2015

This episode features the fantastic Kitty Stryker, who we sat down with recently when she was in town during the week of the Feminist Porn Awards. As an educator, activist, and artist, most of Lillith’s time is divided between [...]

This episode features none other than founder of the Toronto sex shop, Good For Her, Carlyle Jansen. She joined us in studio to share her experiences growing up in a conservative household and what that meant for her sexual journey. In addition to being the owner of Good For Her, Carlyle is also the producer [...]

Apr 2, 2015

We had a fantastic time this past weekend at CatalystCon East, a sex-education conference based out of Arlington, Virginia. In addition to great panels, parties, and reuniting with some of our nearest and dearest in the sexuality sphere, we were able to record a number of great interviews, including this one with OrgasmQuester, Crista Anne. [...]

Mar 19, 2015

After 5 episodes of Tell Me Something Good where we feature other people’s stories, we decided to have Episode 6 be a little extra special and feature just the two of us. (This was definitely a grand idea when it came to both recording and editing!) When we do our monthly live show in Toronto, we always [...]

Mar 5, 2015

This episode is filled with a lot more Samantha and Sophie banter than usual. Before we even get to our guest, we talk about a whole heap of sex related topics like Tinder’s new features, cohabitation, reading the comments, sleeping your way to fame, polyamory hiatuses, and anal sex. Just when you think that’s enough, [...]

Feb 21, 2015

On this Tell Me Something Good episode, we chat via Skype with recent Tell Me Something Good live show judge, comedian, actor, and host Aisha Alfa. Aisha’s story is a funny tale of a fantasy that goes a little off the rails but comes back together for a grand finale, of sorts. Then we got lost in [...]

Feb 13, 2015

On this Tell Me Something Good episode, we sit down in person with Toronto sexuality empowerment coach, Heather Elizabeth. Heather’s story is a short, but intimate tale, of how romance doesn’t always look the way we’re used to, but that doesn’t make it any less special. As a Sexuality Agitator, Educator and Empowerment Coach Heather is all about helping [...]

Feb 10, 2015

On this Tell Me Something Good episode, we sit down via Skype with Billy Procida of the Manwhore Podcast – A Sex Positive Quest For Love, based out of New York City.
